Solnhofen: Living Prehistory
A kind of natural special experience, you can easily reach by walking or by bike.
At Solnhofen, the first fossil of the world famous archaeopteryx was found. Today you can see an exemplar of it, besides many other impressive fossils at the “Bgm.-Müller-Museum”.
There you can admire fossils of Ur-animals and plants and even a quarry devision and lithography devision.
Solnhofen is popular of its plate limes and the invention of Lithographic printing.
